Wool. This natural and timeless fabric is making a big comeback this winter. Discover how we use it at tbs…
Wool comes from sheep that are sheared every year at the beginning of the spring, to keep them cool over the summer months. The naturally wavy and sometimes frizzy fibre is covered with tiny scales. Once sheared from the sheep, the wool is sorted, washed and spun.
Wool gives a product a soft, warm, dense and smooth finish. It protects from the cold and absorbs water vapour which removes the damp feeling and allows clothing to breathe. Non-flammable, once turned into a jumper, it becomes your ideal companion for winter evenings around a fire.
At tbs, we use wool for knitting jackets, and also woven wool too. Once knitted the wool is brushed. This finish makes the product even softer.
It’s in our DNA to offer you clothes which make you feel good. That’s why we mix wool yarns with other yarns to make the fabric the softest ever and also the most flexible. The clothes keep the warm and natural effect of the wool whilst having all the properties of other fibres: hard-wearing, quick drying, light, etc.
